I last drove my car on saturday and it drove fine. I went to start it today (monday) and when it started up it sounded a lot louder and it was rough sounding, almost like a tractor. Of course, when i gave it gas it got worse. Its kinda hard to pinpoint where its coming from, it almost sounds like under the hood but maybe its something loose on the exhaust, like the downpipe. Could it be anything worse, like the motor? Could something have happened while it was just sitting in my garage? Thanks, anything is appreciated.

 

get under your car and check for an exhaust leak. that's probably all it is. i've had that a couple times after punishing my car on dirt roads
