I tried to search but you cant for anything under 3 characters

Does the A/C click off at wide open throttle in Integras or is it on no matter what? Somewhere I think I heard this and want to confirm. Thx

it does in many cars. so, you get the maximum power you would need at wot.

Never heard of this, I was always told never floor it with the AC on, it puts a lot of strain on the motor. I'll just shut it off when I need to floor it. Other wise my *** is gonna drive slow and be cool.

Ok so this is confirmed. Do we know what Honda's do this? All or only newer ones (OBD2 maybe?)

Thanks for the replies!

my obd1 CRX did this as well. The a/c clutch won't even engage until the engine starts, as it's signal is routed through the ECU. WOT will disable the a/c. BTW, the 5-10 Hp used to drive the compressor won't put that much strain on your engine. If you're having trouble, there may be other issues that need to addressed...

yep, it goes off at WOT. And flooring a car with A/C on does nothing to the motor.

Whenever I smash with the A/C on, my car seems really sluggish
