painting the black molding?? need some help
hey everyone. how hard is it to paint the black moldings on the bumpers and sides??? anyone done this?? how would i go about doin this cuz the rest of my car is actually clean and i want the car to flow in one solid color........can anyone help me????.........thanks.....

pretty easy. here's what you roughly need to do: just mask up the top and bottom portion surrounding the moldings with masking tape. scuff up the moldings with 1000 grit sandpaper so the paint can "grab" the molding better. I did it to my civic before. I added 2 thin layer of primer then 3 thin coats of paint and for last 3 thin coat of clear coat. it took me 2 hours to do it. has not peeled, flaked, or faded in 2 years since I did it.
