help with black base

Default help with black base

can i wet sand black base with 400 grit paper (after wetsand there sand mark) and than clear it or i need to rebase?

where u feel the surface.. it smooth
when u look at it there sand mark

you need to sand it with a higher grit and then rebase it, if you dont your gonna see sand streaks all in the paint when you clear it. move up to a higher grit than put on some more basecoat. make sure you get good coverage cause when sanding basecoat, covering properly sometimes takes more than one coat to get rid of the streaking in the base.
