$200 what to do?
i'm either gonna get aem power pulleys or get lowering springs. i'm leaning toward the pulleys because i can't afford new shocks yet. just looking for opinions, should i get the pulleys now or buy springs without shocks?

yeah i'm almost definite i'll go with eibachs, but am i gonna regret not getting the shocks right away? i wouldn't be suprised if they have been on the car since 93.

don't get $200 lowering springs...
Save up for Ground Controls...or a true coilover like Tein.
Most people w/lowering springs aren't satisfied w/the height...either toohigh, or too low, or front sits high, rear low...etc.etc.etc.
As you will find, adjustability is your friend.
I drove around on my stock shocks w/ground controls for about 3 mos..needless to say, when I finally swapped em, they were toast.
If your not too picky about your ride, than it really won't matter. It's going to be stiffer anyway.

Ummm I dont know where you got that, but there is a dyno on po.com of a 9whp gain with the AEM pulleys. Pulleys are the best bang for the buck mod you can do. Dont do suspension unless you can do it all at the same time.

If your VAFC is tuned already (guessing you paid and got it done), and you install the pulleys, don't you have to re-tune the VAFC? Kinda like if you've already got your cam gears dialed in and then you add another performance part. That's actually gonna cost you a lot more than $200. Get the springs. Progress springs perform well at the tracks and they're cheap. Eibach are cool but kinda pricey.

Ummmm, cause I have them.. Do you? I made 7Whp on 2 differant runs, on a Dyno, without doing nothing to my engine. Whats your point?

So which is it?
"AEM pullies are garbage, maybe 2hp gain."
"I made 7Whp on 2 differant runs, on a Dyno, without doing nothing to my engine."
Can you possible say two more completely different things in the same thread?
Get the pulleys, best bang for the buck mod, as stated before.

He means that he dynoed his car, changed nothing, dynoed it again, and gained 7 whp. Nothing changed. He is stating that the 9 whp could have some kind of error.

I put two statements in quotes, made by the same member, in this thread.
One he says they are garbage, and the other says he got 7whp from them. Why would someone make two statements that are completely different?
That was my point.
I recommend the AEM set to anyone looking for a quick, easy, and cheap upgrade.

pullies are ok, i didnt notice a huge gain(wasnt expecting to), but better than stock. I would wait and get ground control coilovers which use eibach springs.

I love my TEIN coilovers. I recommend them, highly. Of course this means
shelling out about a grand though...
*EDIT* to say I used to have Eibach springs on my Lude.... They work fine, but I was not satisfied

trust me i'd love to throw money in the car like it was cool. but thats just not realistic in my case. i have my own home, 3 cars (till i sell the teg), a wife and kid, and all the bills that go along with being a married, etc. i'm just looking for a fun daily driver at this point.
