Default are dampers same thing as shocks?

are dampers just another word for shocks? sorry im noob.

Same thing.

"dampers" is a term that seems to still be used in England.

Yep it is an english term but it is really a better term since shocks dampen the motion of the springs.

Yep, springs <U>absorb</U> shocks, "shocks" <U>dampen</U> shocks
