Transmission Help
Well I dropped my tranny the day before yesterday, yesterdat I decided to crack it open to see if i can find anything visually wrong with it. Well i took off the shift arm cover, took the rear idle fork shaft bolt (or whatever it's called out), removed the top two bolts that had the springs and steel ***** behind them. i removed the really two really long bolts, removed all of those 10mm bolts, and took the snap ring out of the groove in the bearing. i can pry the two housings apart, but it feels like the guts of it are still connected to both sides. i can only seperate the housing about a half an inch a part. anyone know why it doesn't want to come apart?
oh yeah, i took off one of the top seal things and found a bunch of synchro teeth and brass shavings... (oh boy).

You all done, the only thing now that is holding it in is that there is a snap ring on the countershaft bearing, just remove it w/ a pair of snap ring pliers and it will come off no problem.

already did that... i've got the thing seperated about a half an inch. the snap ring isn't the problem.
