Default Motor mount inserts (wow)

I just got my energy suspension motor mount inserts installed and wow. Idle is so unbelievably rough, the steering wheel vibrates and my VAFC vibrates against my dash and makes noise. BUT it feels much better when driving. only at idle is when it vibrates a lot. Acceleration is much smoother, shifting feels way better, and it feels solid! I also got a skunk 2 shift ****, that thing is the best. It looks just like ITR shift ****, but it is twice as heavy. I am satisfied with these two products for my car.

I'm glad your happy with your mods, I bet the motor mounts made such a big difference also because your old ones were probally really worn out. I'm considering a set of mugen motor mounts, aren't suppose to vibrate as badly... but no way in hell I'll buy them in the states, gotta go back to japan for those, can you believe 400 for mounts?!

I have the skunk **** too, love the weight, but I noticed my finish is kinda coming off/discoloring, maybe mine is defective?

dang, $400 for the mugen ones comparedt to $20 for the energy suspension ones. That is a huge price difference. I have noticed that my idle is kind of low, I changed the settings on the timing and feul pressure to try to pass smog a while ago and it is still on those settings. When my car was tuned for more power, my idle was higher. I know as soon as I get my idle back up to where it used to be, the vibrations won't be nearly as bad. It gets rough around 550 rpm to about 725 rpm, then after that it is smooth. I don't know what kind of bushings this one guy had, but he had the rear motor mount insert in only and he took it out a week later because it would cause his CD player to skip constantly. Mine aren't nearly that bad.

I bet the skunk 2 shift **** isn't near the quality of an OEM ITR ****, I wonder if the finish will come off mine? Maybe I will just wear gloves when ever I drive haha.

Those RSX shift ***** are lookin' quite nice....

Anyways, how do you turn up your idle speed? I thought it was ECU regulated... Is there a screw or some adjustment just like the good ol' days of carburation?

I just put in the inserts and I love them! The car is more harsh (vibrates), but I feel more connected to the car... It doesn't feel as numb as it did before, and it feels more mean. Definately not for people who are after comfort!
BTW, the rear mount was so damn hard to install! I ended up removing so much stuff to get it out! The front two took about a total of 10 mins to do, but the rear took so long, I lost track of time!

How much is that shift ****?

Would I be a dumbass for only installing the front mounts?

I would think you'd have to take the engine out to do it, guess not. Can someone give me a brief explanation of how to get those in there?

I had 2 installed, idle is not too bad a little more shake. But there is a lot more engine noise on the highway. You get used to it, but it is a lot louder.

When my car was tuned, the FPR had the pressure guage reading 53 or somewhere around there (I have it on paper somewhere for when I set it back) I lowered it down to stock settings and the idle became lower and much smoother. Now after the new mount inserts are in, lower RPM is rough, but as soon as I put my car back to the tuned settings the idle should be higher like it was before. Engine noise isn't bad on the freeway, actually the only time it is loud and vibrating is at idle.
