What is so special about this type of oil? Any pros/cons to using it?

 

You can read about it here. But it seems to me the only thing "special' about it, compared to Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Synthetic, is that it costs more and you can't buy it at your local auto parts store.

 

i would like to see some.... maybe eat it for desert.

when i threw a rod bearing in my itr i was using royal purple......i dont know if that helps you out, when i usually run mobil one.

 

This is the first thread that has actually made me laugh in quite some time. Royal Purple sucks price wise, I used it in my fourwheeler and it was just a waste of money.
