[sarcasm]Wow, my car rules, especially the clutch[/sarcasm]
ok, about 3 weeks ago i upgraded my stock clutch for an act xtreme plate and 6 puck disc. i replaced all the bearings and made sure every moving part/joint had grease (according to helms). installed everything back together properly. It worked great up until tonight.
I'm leaving work and noticed the clutch pedal had no pressure about 1/6 of the way. So i figured the clutch settled into its spot and was all happy.... next stop light its about 1/2 of the way so i figured something was gonna go out, so i put it in 1st went to second then into 4th and cruised home, down shifted into 3rd to take a left turn, then rolled into my neighborhood in 3rd at like 20 mph. (from the 1/2 way no feeling point until now was maybe 3-5 minutes, max). i put my car in neutral to go into my driveway, and to get into the garage i tried to put it in 1st. The pedal is now 100% to the floor and about 1/2 of an inch from the floor there is a tiny bit of resistance, and the car wont go into gear.
I turn it off and try and cost her into the driveway, not enough force, then i rested my foot on the pedal just chilling there tryint to think and noticed there was resistance in it again, started the car, put it in first and parked. there is now full resistance except about 1/6 of the way, maybe less.
is this jsut the slave cylinder saying eat it, i own you but im back to normal, or is something wrong and do i need to replace the slave cylinder?
CLIFF NOTES: clutch pedal to the floor, no resistance, now its normal, is it ok or not?

no, i don't see why i should have the need to do that though.

did you check for leaks under the pedal of the master cylinder? My car had similar issues and I replaced the master and slave, and problem gone.

yeah, i checked and there are no leaks by the master cylinder. Which leads me to only believ that its the slave cylinder... but can i be 100% sure? i'd really hate to buy both the master and the slave cylinder when i'll only need one as i only have 150 dollars and total is aorund 155 for both from my local acura parts hookup.
keep in mind i still need to buy an hour or two of dyno time which is about 150-200 dollars.
what's your guys opinions?

check around the slave cylinder boot for fluid loss. Also make SURE you check where the pedal engages the master cylinder under the dash. It should be pretty obvious where the problem is.

there is 0 fluid leakage from anywhere... there might be a little around the slave cylinder but it looked kinda like oil to me. it was on the floor between cylinder and turbo so i figured it was from the return line but i had never had problems with the return line ever leaking before... so im thinking its the slave cylinder...
oh well, im gonna go buy one of them bastards at acura tomorrow

replaced it... took about 30 minutes (including jack up/de-jack and test run). a VERY easy process.
