things to do to avoid breaking my crx si axles
by the end of the month i will have my boosted zc up and running. I don't have the time to keep replacing axles. Does anyone know things i should avoid doing so that I don't break axles. I have an act clutch and i am expecting whp numbers around 200. I also plan on using a the clutch cut feature on my zdyne, is this a good idea?
Thanks,
Evan

one thing i forgot to mention.......i seriously spent my last 200 on the turbo ( i already purchased the rest of the setup). I am a college bum taking summer classes there for have no job and won't have a job until next summer, thus have no money to spend.
Well with no money I'd say your going to have to take it easy, stockers are bout 80 a side, cheaper at the junker. If you had the dough, custom Raxles, bout $300.
I have an h22 in my 91 Rex...axle breaking would be a give me...until now! I spent 200 bucks for a custom crossmeber that would eliminate wheel hop, and bought custom race axles for 400 bucks a pair. I got all this stuff from place racing....they will hook you up!!!!!! Oh BTW, the axles have lifetime warantee!!!

I agree....
I agree....
ok, i just wanted to be sure i wouldn't be breaking axles at 200hp. I have heard that honda axles break fairly easily. thanks again for the responses
I don't think 200hp is going to be a problem with stock honda axles. They will probably last until the summers up as long as you take it easy and don't beat the **** out of them. Truthfully I think their is guys on this board who are making 300hp and riding around on stock axles.
