Default b style engines.

Just a quick question. Is the actual block on a b18a,b18b,b18c engine the same? Its just the internals that make the a/b/c definition, right? Say for example - Could I get a b18b - Hot tank it, magnaflux it and put all new parts in it - say new b18c crank, rods and pistons? Then throw the correct head on it - and have basically a '1994+ b18c GSR'? Let me know - and thanks in advance.
