hesitation
ok so while under slight throttle my car will some times hesitate as if its trying to go but cant i was thinking this could be a fuel problem? but not sure also my headers are slightly against my crossmember im ordering a place racing member to aleviate this but didnt think it would cause a prob till it gets here am i correct? tia for the help
My B16A1 does the same thing. You might be running too rich. I changed the fuel filter, plugs, wires, ect., and it didn't help. Apparently it is a common problem w/ the B16A1's, not sure about the A2's. It everything else does not work, use a V-AFC and lean it out a little.
The common things I hear for this are the O2, timing, spark components,(plugs, wires, rotor etc) and fuel filter/pump. I'd go with cheapest first, make sure your timing is on, check your plugs for any abnormal wear/indications, change your plugs and rotor, fuel filter and O2. I hear a lot on the b16's that its the O2 wiring and on D series its timing/ignition.
My 90dx did the same thing and it turned out that my belt had jumped a tooth and was retarded 16 degrees.
Ran strong as hell after 3k rpms...

Yes, it does matter which o2 is in which spot, you should check them to verify. Do you have a aftermarket header, or is it stock? Ryan

Are you running a chip that eliminates the second o2? If not, this may be your problem. Ryan

dude, mine does the same thing.. it's only sometimes, but then it'll go away.. it's not the O2 sensors.. i have to look at the TPS then.. and possibly timing...
im havin the same problem on my b16...i dunno what it can be...its bad tho sometimes i cant even drive it...my tach jumps all over like crazy and the car hesitates like hell....cant figure out what is wrong with it.
If you are using a pr3 or pw0, with stock chip, stock fuel pressure, no afc, etc, it's critical that the o2's be close to the stock location and wired correctly (sometimes the primary and secondary may be reversed after a swap) or your daily drivability is going to suck, plain and simple. ITR headers with an o2 down by the collector are not going to give the computer the proper feedback, thus causing the computer to try to lean or richen the mixture the wrong way resulting in hesitation, bogging, sputtering, even stalling sometimes (happened to me at least 5-6 times). If your car runs fine at WOT and also at startup when it's cold, this is probably your problem, at startup and WOT the computer doesn't look at what your o2's are reading.

Same problem I'm having
It'll run fine when it's dead cold, but when it's in the intermediate zone between fully cold and fully warm it'll hesitate and buck at part throttle. Give it gas and it takes off.
I'm thinking TPS right now... I know my O2s are wired correctly (I've already been through that). Forgot to mention, my O2s are in the stock location (stock B16A manifold).

Yeah, I'm thinking TPS right now. I had the swap done by a shop and I doubt they would switch the 02's. It has always hesitated at part throttle but it recently started having starting problems when cold.
