all of these cars are from http://www.streetsource.com i doubt any of the owners are members here, but i hope it's okay with them i'm posting their cars here.
htis one's from FREAKS of nature...
this is Wrinkols on SSM...
this guy has 20" albas in the rear, and i think they're 18s in front...

this one was posted here a long time ago (the pics of it red still). it was on ebay i guess. he's on SSM as well...

these guys are in a league of their own. they're all one-off custom cars now. you can't compare these to cars with bolted-on body kits, and lips, with bolted-on suspension. **** the term 'bolt-on' period. they're actually individual. notice how none of them have body kits, they can lay their **** with stock bumpers and stock rockers. it's not 'rice', it's not 'a waste of a civic', it's art to me in a sense. it may not be everybody's cup of tea, but i give them all a big fat
for the work involved and creativity.

they are pretty cool. Everyone have their own goals, you should say its a wast of money and car. I think some of those guys should of spent a little money to paint their cars though.

Ok, I hate rice as much as the next guy. However, I don't see how most of these cars are hideously ricey... to the point that they would make you throw up.
Some of the above cars are super clean. Different people have different tastes. I can't immagine the ammount of work that goes into body dropping a unibody car.
IMO the first civic would be really hot if he lost the altezzas, and got a set of rims that were not super played out. That car has recdvulous potential.
The second one looks pretty bangin. Can't go wrong with OE style.
I am not really feelin the black hatch at all. But I think that is just because of the rims. I still think that 98% of the chrome rims look wrong on Hondas. Even show Hondas.
I am really diggin the EG. Nice wheel choice. If he got the doors painted he would be set.

Those aren't body dropped. They just have the fenderwells cut and some of them new metal welded on so that the tires can go higher up into the wells.

If you look at the one with the "exhaust in the cabin" in the after pics, you will see the exhaust is no longer in the cabin:

How you gonna say they arent body dropped?? You dont even know anything about the cars. If you go to the SSM site and read up on the blue civic, you will see that it actually is bodydropped.
Yager-

actually those cars aren't body dropped.
I dont see any pics that show that any of them are body dropped.
the rest are just bagged and acomadations were made to put them on the ground.
other than that, they may be ugly or whatever, but still i like the creativity and effort put into them.
I gaurentee most of the people in here who think they stand above everyone else because they built their own turbo kit wouldn't even know where to start with a project like this. THey may be ugly, they may have chrome wheels and they may have ugly ******* taillights, it may be a waste of a car, but the fabrication involved itself its cool.....

There would be no point in body dropping a Civic or any other unibody-type chassis.
Think about it: the whole point that people body-drop trucks is to get the body to lay on the ground. If you took all the suspension and wheels off a regular truck and layed the frame on the ground, the body would still be up off the ground. So you body drop it to get the actual body to lay (or appear to lay) on the ground.
Okay now take the wheels and suspension off a Civic, and lay the body on the ground. Okay, the body of the car is already laying on the ground, so why do anything else? Just chop up the fenderwells (as shown in those pics) so that it can do that while still having the wheels and suspension on the car. Job is done, no body-dropping involved.
Whether or not somebody wants to do that to a Civic, it's cool with me, but anybody that tries to body-drop a unibody chassis gets a big
from me.
