Will 5spd tranny from any civic work in place of a 4spd
i just wanted to know whether or not a 5spd tranny will work in place of a 4spd. i didnt know if it would just bolt up or whether or not i would have to change things like axles and what not

Yeah the outer side is smaller on the 4 spd than the 5 spd (as he said above) but if all he is doing is swapping trannies the hubs will be the same which means he can use the same axles.

Why if not an 88? An 88 will bolt right in just like the rest of them but where the troubles comes is with the clutch and flywheel which if he WAS swapping in an 88 trans and got the 88 clutch and flywheel it would be fine.

thanks for the help i didnt know if the trannies were the same as everyone knows that the gear ratio sucks on a 4spd once a gain thanks. one more thing goes anyone know what i will need to do mini me swap onto a 91 STD hatch the head is of of a 94 del sol it has both manifolds and all of the sensors thanks
