Grounding a T fitting
I need to ground a T fitting, anyone have any ideas on what would be the best way. I thought about solder but solder won't stick to the brass fitting, what if I used that brazing material ? Right now I wrapped it around with a hose clap, the screw type kind. But I wanted to see what you guys thought.
is this for your oil pressure gauge? if so here is what i did...
i found one of the round connectors with a hole in the middle of it. i drilled out the hole so it would tightly fit around the male threads of the T fitting. then i ran a wire from the connector to a chassis point. this grounded the fitting.
the other thing to do is you could scrape the paint off the spot where the T fitting is against the firewall. if the T is mounted tightly to the firewall, it should stay grounded (but you need to remove the paint to have a solid ground connection).

It's actually for my temperature gauge, and the t fitting is not mounted on the fire wall. I never had a problem with my oil pressure gauge not being grounded. Any other ideas ? The reason I wanted it grounded better is cause I had a problem with it but I think it has to do with air in the system, go here and read more if you feel like it. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=533878
