Problem with b16a1 install
I just finished installing a b16a1 in my 89' hf, and tried to start it up, the enigne turns but never cuts on. I did some trouble shooting for awhile and came to the conclusion that its not getting any fuel. Any suggestions on why its not getting any fuel. Also, I dont have any of the vaccum hoses hooked up, would that have any effect on the enigne not starting at all.

I would hook everything up first and then start troubleshooting.

we cant hook them up until we get longer hoses, but is that what is keeping it from starting? The fuel is not going through the fuel filter at least b/c both of the hoses that hook up to it are dry. I thought fuel pump, but it worked a few days ago (yes i know it could be a bad pump) but how would you go about checkin to make sure that works?
The main relay might not be working. I don't know if the B16 has one, but on my DX CRX, i wasn't getting fuel. Thre main relay is what turns the fuel pump and injectors on, so you may need to repalce it. I paid 70.59 at the Honda Dealership.
when you turn your key to on, before you crank it, you should hear a click. If you don't then that relay is bad. Common in CRX's. Mine did the same thing. After I spanked it it began to work again. The relay is located under the dash on the drivers side near near the hood release. Good Luck!
