Will the front control arms from a 2000 Vtec Si (SIR in Canada) fit a 96 hatch without a lot of hassle? The goal is to mount swaybars. The rear seemes to be no problem, as far as I know. The current front arms I don't think have anywhere to attach the links.

I'd like to stick with OEM Honda parts. I've read a poor review or two of some aftermarket kits.

Has anyone done this? I'd like to know if it turned out to be worthwhile, or was more trouble that it was worth. Or if it is even possible, for that matter.

 

im about to do the same thing. to put a si sway bar on you need the lower control arms and strut forks.

 

and you will also need the shock fork bolts, the stock ones won't fit through the Si forks.There was a post about this like a month ago that showed pictures of the bolt location and everything.

 

Many thanks for the info . I found that thread, plus another thread about the ST kit that reassured me that OEM is the way to go.
Plus, got turned on to the Beak's re-enforcement kit as well. Subframe tearing = scary. Maybe the Si bars aren't hefty enough to cause that problem, but I will look into a set of those anyhow once I get my sh*t together.
