Default removing cat heatshield

should i remove this? Lately my exhaust has been rattling against it like a bitch. It is annoying me so bad now. Could anything negative happen if i take it off?

nah, it won't hurt anything but you will feel a bit more heat coming up through the floorboard around the hump area. Mine is removed now and I also removed the one on my old cat.

good. I think i'll get rid of that **** tomorrow. The damn rattling is driving me insane. It makes it sound like my car is cheap and falling appart or something whenever i'm sitting at idle.

damn i couldn't get to a certain bolt because my cat is in the way. Did you guys have to remove your cat to get to the heat shield? Also do you have any diagrams or pics of exactly what i need to remove. Is it the metal thing right above the cat? There seem to be other heat shields further back too. Should i remove those? I am assuming my exhaust rattling is because of it hitting the heatshields...i need to know soon..the sounds are driving me insane

i cut mine off my catco even before i installed it. if the heat bothers you, get some thermal wrap and tighten it down with O-rings.
