Default where to mount radar detector in EP3?

Sounds stupid, but I can't find a good place. I don't want it in the middle of the windshield like my old car, and it doesnt clip on the visor well (plus it's in the way). I guess I'll have to mount it on the dash? I also think i'm going to hard wire it into the accessory wire. The power outlet in the EP3 is in a stupid place for radar detector pluggage...

Anyone have any other creative ideas?

I took mine all apart and did some custom wiring and put it way up top of the middle of the roof and the rest under the dash and left the signal catcher park up top. works great. and its all hidden.

that sounds like a sweet setup. Although i'm pretty good with electronics, i'm not about to take apart my $180 detector

I also can't find a straight power cable for mine. I have a coiled one, and the connector is shorter than a standard center positive prong. It's a Bel 860.

i'll just stick it on the dash and have it done with.
