Goin to tha track tomorrow, got a couple questions.
Ok, Im gonna run for tha first time tomorrow night to see what kinda times I can do. 1st question is: I was going to put my stockies on the front, is having them on the front good enough or is there some reason to change out all 4? Also, the stockies still have tha michelin tires on em, what psi should I put em at? I am planning on takin out tha back seats and spare tire and jack and all that crap, not so sure about tha side panels yet tho, ill decide tomorrow. Anything else you guys recommend? Thanks for tha help guys.
i put the stocks in the front and run 12psi, but i lauch @ 5k since our cars have no torque.... best of luck with you in the track 2morrow, btw, i'm also going to the track 2morrow as well....14 seconds here i come...hahhaah
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is don't go. Wait utill the weather is better. This hot, humid summer weather is the worst time to go. I've heard it can take .4 - .6 off of your time. I dont know if it really takes that much off, but on my car w/ just intake at 40 deg. I ran a 15.85, then at 90 deg, w/ i/h/e I only ran a 15.83. Wait untill the temp outside is in the 40s - 50s. Thats the best weather for dragging (I think, correct me if I'm wrong).
If you do go, dont be dissapointed about your time if its bad, just go again when the weathers better.
HTH. If someone here knows more than me about this (I know there has to be someone), correct me on any false info I gave.

Well it aint humid here, I live in Vegas, and theres no way Im waitin til its 40-50 outside cause that wot be for like 3 more months. Thanks for tha ideas guys. I guess Ill try tha 12psi thing and any other suggestions I read b4 tomorrow night. Thanks guys.
12 psi? damn
i ran 40 in my stock tires...i just slipped the clutch off the line so wheelspin wasn't a problem...and then in the long run it made my top end A LOT better

Ok then I wont drop tha pressure. I also talked to one of my friends about this and he said he dropped hi to 20psi so i might just do that.
20psi sounds alright.. I don't think it's really worth it to take off both side panels. Maybe you'll save 10 pounds, but it's kind of a hassle. Just try to take a huge dump before you go..
20 psi in street tires =sane
12 psi in street tires = insane
slicks now 12 psi sounds a little better but hes not running slicks (oh btw i have 14" slicks for sale)
