I think mine is off a tad from the factory. I can rev it up to around 7,400 indicated, but I heard the rev-limiter is actually like 7,200 I believe.

I have an EX cluster and the tachomter and speedometer is definatly way off. Although Im pretty postive its because I have an h22 under the hood. Im trying to remember if the cluster was accurate with my d16, but im not positive.

my tach seems to be off by a little bit, compared to my autometer tach. however, i don't even know if that's accurate, i connected it at the dizzy, so it may be more accurate than my cluster. they both read diff. about 2-300 rpms at redline.

checked mine EX cluster that i got for my cx like an year ago at the local yard and seems my rpms are off about 100-120 RPM thats ok though got a shift lite so i hardly look at the tach..
Mine seems to be doing fine. Only had it in for a short while tho. We'll see. I didn't think that having a diff engine from the cluster itself would throw things off. Hmm. I done got learned.
best thing to find out if the tach is off, is dyno use the dyno exam's that'll tell u the truth from the RPMs where it cuts off at high rev or the V-AFC controller and compare it with the needle to the exam's or the v-afc

yup. same here. conversion from digital to analog will always cause inaccuracy. tach in the cluster is a must, but if you need to be accurate best get a VAFC or a rev/speed meter.
