For those with an R6
Run Mobil1 15W50. Doesn't listen to what anyone else says because they just buy into marketing hype. It won't make your clutch slip -- it doesn't contain any friction modifiers. It's the red cap.
Filters that fit the Mazda MX3 V6 will fit the R6. Not all of them will work do to thread depth in the filter. The Mobil1 filter does work. It costs the same as a factory filter.
Listen to me and no one else.

Ever take an oil pressure reading off of the r6 and the mx3 at load? Something tells me that at 15,500 rpm the r6 motor is making more pressure... which would probably cause the domesticated mx3 filter think clog and ypass the filter media. In laymans, that would mean you're recirculating unfiltered oil anytime you're wringing out the motor. Good job. Which cliff did you say to jump off?
btw, 15w50 mobil 1 works fine and doesn't have friction modifiers in that weight... but everybody would already know that if they read the 3 posts that that's been mentioned in the past month.
