1988 CRX Si, need some help
Hey guys, my friend is selling a 1988 Honda CRX Si. He just picked it up, and he buys cars and sells them. Since he knows i am into imports, he asked me first if wanted to buy it, i am looking for a commuter car/ or a project car. He said the guy who owned it said it was rebuilt, but no specifics if the internals have been upgraded with performance parts. It has a AEM SRI, and lowered, and the motor is a D16A6, single cam, under the D16A6 it says 1307264. I dont know if this is the VIN to the motor or what. He is asking $900, it runs good, but needs a clutch. The back end is gutted, and the paint is kinda fawked, but i aint looking for a show car, something to get me to work and back, and maybe something to build up for fun. It has a header, dont know what brand, its got header wrap on it, and an Unorthodox adjustable cam pully. Is this a good deal, and is it worth building up? Thanks guys for your help.
Is there any potential for that D16A1?

That's a good deal and it would make a GREAT project car, not only because it's cheap but because it's an 88 si... they only CRX with suspension similar to the Integra type R
Thanks guys for the help. How much HP and TQ does the stock D16 put out? And i dont know about the suspention on this CRX, looks like the springs have been heated to drop it. SO the springs are shot. Thanks again.
