1987 Honda CRX SI Help please
Ok, so ive just gotten my self to a point where i am able to do things with my car. It was sitting for about a year but is running now. Id like to put this car on the track and ultimately have it lose to no vehicle ever. This project will take a while but i will settle for nothing less. It currently has a d15a3 in it. Im looking into replacing it with a b18. But to be 100% honest i dont know anything about this, what i need, which b18 to use or anything else i should be looking to change. My dad isnt a mechanic but it is something that highly interests me as a hobby so id like to learn so if you have any help please be descriptive. Any help is welcome. Thank you guys.
Also, if it would be better to leave this car the way it is and get a newer crx to do these types of upgrades to id like to know that as well.

It is better (easier) to mod 88 up. B motors will fit in your 87 with a mount kit and various parts from
86-'00 Civics/Integras. For more details, type "86-87 CRX engine swap" into the search field or google "red pepper racing"

I used to have a 87 crx si too. Instead of a swap I went with a gude head package which worked out really well. I think I took this route mostly because it was 99 or 00 and hasport hadn't deveoloped the b series mounts yet.
