Got an Integra Ls 2000 how can i get a few extra horses? will taking out the resonator do any good?

Advance ignition timing to 18 deg. BTDC. Copper spark plugs (assuming you have platinums). Cold Air Intake.

 

basic bolt ons will get you decent power but nothing substantial. Tuning is the key to making good power. It also depends on how much cahs you want to spend.

invest in a good exhaust and intake to get started. then if you are still ambitous about getting some big numbers go ls/vtec or take a rizzide to the darkside.

 

Taking out the resonator will just make your exhaust louder and crapper. You can try removing you PS and AC belt to gain a little back.

 

What do you mean copper spark plugs? How do they ignite the fuel differently?

 

Copper conduct electricity better, but dont last as long.

 

Bosch, platinum #4227 if they NEED to be replaced.

Come on people, spark plugs don't give you HP for NA! ! !

You wouldn't get 1 extra HP on a GSR, even if you want to spend $60 for denso Irridiums, or 5$ for coppers.

It's funny how everyone buys all that MSD Blaster coil stuff with color coordinated plug wires, as if it were going to work better or last longer (or cost less) than OEM. Jeez.

Dude, plaugs affect how your engine runs. If you have a more efficient running engine, your ARE making more power.
