What are you guys running? And also is it worth it? I want to be different in running with a delsol. Just wanna get some feedback. But I'll still have my flame suit ready for the haters out there.

 

A friend of mine is building a 13:1 compression 85mm bore GSR motor for his del Sol. The motor should be back from RS Machine this week and the head was done and back from Alaniz.

PM me in a few weeks and I'll let you know how its going.

Thats funny I never remove my top, I'm not into t top's and convertibles, I like the hardtop look better. DAM thats going to be a sick delsol, post some pics and times when your friends done. I hope in the next year I can do something like that but not with that compression, I wanna keep putting regular 93 in it. With 11.5.1 in a 2.0 gsr I'll be good with that , some good cams I should be good for low 13's wich would give me a pretty quick little roadster.

 

What does a delsol weigh???

 

a guy here in town has a GSR in his slo... runs high 14

 

i ran 14.6 in a del sol with full interior with a b16/ctr cams/ stock block

i currently have an lsvtec making 184/139 and hopefully can make it to the track soon

 

i WAS all motor, but then i realized my sol is one fat pig, so i decided to go turbo.

b18c1 turbo to be exact.... now, hopefully i can get this pig to fly.

yeah, i guess the body is reinforced since the top is removable.

my tech has a delsol with the stock B16a2 all motor with jun stroker kit and he runs 13.47 with crappy 60ft times (2.1) and only weight reduction is spare tire, passenger seat and carbon fiber hood.

I know he can get deep into the 12's with a lighter car and some better suspension.
