Default installed new shocks but car is still uneven

i bought the car used and the owner ran over a curb before he sold it to me. anyways i finally changed out both the front shocks today (first time doing it too....4 hours) the car is still uneven. i initially thought maybe one of the shocks were blown but that wasnt it. any idea what could be causing the car to be uneven? ive had two mechanics skim it before and they couldnt see anything wrong other then the blown axle. the driver side is about half a inch lower then the passengar side. im not sure..but i dont think a blown axle could cause the car to be uneven?

a half inch is a bit much but i have heard that civics/integra are a bit higher on the passenger side to improve handling in acceleration adn reduce torque steer.........has anyone else heard this or am i just a sucker?
