Default Questions for guys with Greddy Turbo kits...

I'm thinking about buying a GS-R and slapping on the greddy kit. I did some searches and I cant find one instance of anyone blowing their car up with the kit. I would like to know you opinions of the kit, and any reliability issues you've had. I plan on daily driving the car.
Thanks!

Cars been running for a little over a year and a half with the kit. No problems yet so far. Greddy is top quality unlike Drag.

greddy may not make the most power, but the kits are great quality. i don't have a gsr, but i had the SOHC kit on my y8, and the engine ran like a champ for a little over a year before i had to remove everything. wasn't as fast as some t3/t4 setups running around me, but i was still faster than all those noisy stunnas.

Greddy is good... I'd recommend the blue box go in the trash and get hondata w/440's though...

wow, i'm so impressed. Looks like I'll be doing the greddy kit if I get a GSR. How much power does it make with and without intercooler, and what are expected 1/4 mile times.
Thanks

power is based on your engine, and everyone's engine responds differently. so it's kind of hard to say. but at 6 psi w/ an intercooler, expect maybe low 14s, high 13s if you're a good driver, i guess. I've seen si coupes with the greddy kit and blue box at stock boost run low 14s, so i'm just guestimating off that.

Greddy quality =

As was said, ditch the blue box, throw in some 440's with a Hondata and you'll be good for 8-10psi, roughly 240-260whp +/-.

Only 1 word of caution, beware of pushing too much boost on the internal wastegate. They do not like to hold high boost levels, and infact, they won't without alot of spiking!

I can atest to that!
