heh i've never heard "honing" and "cat" used in the same sentance before. usually people refer to it as gutting a cat, in case your search didnt turn up any results. anyways, its really not recommended since the hollow non-tubular body will disrupt the velocity of the exhaust gasses. instead, consider purchasing a test pipe if thats what you're after.

Yes, it is garbage. I ******* hate it when people do this type of **** to gain 1 hp, maybe. I read an article In Car Craft in which a camaro made the same power and MORE TORQUE with a high flow cat... something to think about. DO NOT REMOVE your catalytic converter. I'd like to be able to breathe in the future, and that won't help things at all.

Gutting cats is more work than its worth.. Just get a test pipe and use that instead. I have had great sucsess with removing cat convertors.

I recommend getting a high-flow cat. Carsound makes a great quality high-flow catalytic converter which some companies rebadge as their own (notably Magnaflow). Look into it - if a place sells Magnaflow mufflers, chances are they sell Carsound (ie Magnaflow) high-flow cats.
