Honda-Tech Type R FAQs
I've started a new thread about this because I think it is important and it will end up being buried in the Spoon vs. EVO wheel thread.
We always complain about repetitive posts, but the ironic thing is somebody always mentions the need for a FAQ. Everybody agrees, there are smiley faces and thumbs up everywhere. But nothing ever gets done, and the forum gets littered with "We need a FAQ" posts - which eventually become just as repetitive as "What wheel do I buy" posts.
We are not bitches - lets take some action.
Is there room on this site to host the FAQs?
Is there anybody willing to take ownership of writing one/some of them?
Who will volunteer to update them?
I'm certainly not the most knowledgable person on this board - but I would be willing to comb through old posts and pull out the good information about the topics that get brought up the most.
Instead of one big FAQ we should do it by topic: Headers, Wheels, Cams, AutoX, etc.

on the Type R list on Yahoo Groups (egroups) this has come up several times. We ended up using the FAQ on itrca.com. rather than have several Type R FAQs on the net repeating the same information, I think it will be better if we all put our resources behind the one at itrca.com. here is the link to the FAQ at itrca.com - http://www.itrca.com/faq/index.asp
as you can see, it still needs work. that's where we come in. send in your Q & A to Brett at itrca@yahoo.com so he can update the FAQ.

Thats an awesome resource, exspecially for specs, but I think we could do better. I mean, theres a comptech filter install, but no dyno plots. Especially for the 'which product is best' type posts. We could compile of list of discussions on which header is best, what oil is best, etc.

There is way more valuable information in the archive and the daily posts of Honda-Tech.com than in the FAQ at ITRCA. This is also a living breathing community with smart people. Why not expand our community and make things easier for everybody here by creating our own FAQ?
