DSM Blow Off Valve
They actually are. The 1G's are not bad, but the 2G's are pretty sorry. I found the write up in SCC comparing BOV's somewhat entertaining. Not that SCC has any technical credibility at all, especially after publishing that fiasco of a turbo kit article.
I have personal experience with the 2G BOV and it leaks like crazy. DSM actually designed them to pull in air at idle, so I can't fault it for that. However, at part throttle the thing leaks constantly.

The 1G dsm bov owns....I run one and I love it. Sounds perfect imo, not too loud to where its annoying but definatley vocal enough. Stock I've seen them personally hold as much as 20psi on dsms and "crushed" I've seen them hold more.
From my experience the 2g would stop holding boost around 14-15psi, I sometimes think it was a safety measure mitsubishi took so the car would not be overboosted :shrugs: The other night I also found out the new evo 8's bov is also similar to the 2g, its also plastic and cant hold boost for sh*t.

They are decently loud after they are vented to the atmosphere, which on your honda it will be. They are probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to bovs. Just hope it doesn't sound like my friend's on his dsm. It almost sounds like a dove flying around under his hood every time it goes off.
you can always route it into your compressor intake pipe...just mount your BOV on the bottom of the charge pipe...i believe the DSM's came that way...and use a rubber hose and route it to a extended extension you would have to make on the compressor intake piping.....it should lessen the noise some......great deal i think for $100 brand new, but you can't go wrong with a tial
