Radio and tach dying!!!
Ok, I have a really weird problem. This morning when I got to work my stereo and my stock tach(aftermarket one was fine) died. The clock on the radio was still working so I know it was getting power. It is a small clock btw off to the side of the deck. Well anyways, I popped the hood and took a look and everything seemed fine so I shut the car off and it wouldn't restart. After I jumped it and moved it, it wouldn't start again. anyways I charged the battery and put it in and tested it and the car started. Now I'm back to the same point, but the alt is almost new. I just want to know why would the radio and stock tach not work if it is just the alt. dying ? TIA....I really need my car fixed so I need ideas to try out 2morrow morning at work.
This morning I found the green plug connected to the alt feels really loose. But it still doesn't explain the link between the radio and the tach, and why doesn't my aftermarket tach die as well? I'll have to look at lunch.

Thanks....I found the problem btw, it was the green plug in the alternator. The clip somehow broke off of it and the plug was coming loose. I have it ghetto rigged now, Blue thread lock and a little super glue for now until I can get a new plug.
