I know that this mod can be done. From what I read from searching is that the only difference is that the base of the bulb is a little thicker than the stock bulb and it will need to be pressed in a little further.

My question is - what does the beam pattern look like? I read the post about the 9006 mod htat requires some grinding to the back of the light housing to get the HID to line up correctly where the element of the stock bulb was. Is the H4 HID just a bulb plug in with no mods needed?
