Test Pipe VS. High Flow CAT
I'm getting a test pipe along with the custom 2.5" mandrel bent piping from kteller8 and I'm wondering if it provides much more hp and flow than a high flow CAT. I live in FL so I don't have to worry about emissions. I'm worried that if I get the test pipe, that in the future when I decide I want to sell my lude, I won't be able to due to the illegal test pipe. With exhaust it's all about better flow and the test pipe would definately provide that....but how much better than a high flow CAT? thanks
****...will I really have to put out more money to keep the engine light from coming on...that sucks. I don't know if I want to test pipe now....just to keep from the hassle of f*ckin with the o2 sensor. Is it hard or easy?

as long as you don't have a 96 then you have OBD1 and you are good. If you do have a 96 then all you need is a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness. Or I thought there was a how to either here or on Superhonda.com.

what kind of nominal hp differences are we talking between a test pipe and hi-flow cat? assuming appropriate airflow is supplied (CAI, header, exhaust have all been added)

Well, you would also need an OBDI ecu to go with the conversion harness
If you have OBDII and want to run a test pipe CEL free, just do the OBDII "workaround": http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fifth-afc/ecu.shtml

doesnt work forever..
the work around works for about 8 months... then the CEL appears in full force and you can not reset to get rid of it..
