Yeah, sure, it's been on my mind for some time.
I guess what's different is that now the car is running....and you know what that means. Automotive nirvana. And I thought I was Jonesing bad before.
So, I had to shuttle it to a friends shop. And I'm thinking that it feels kind of strange. And the shifter is kind of notchy. Etc. After a couple of minutes of driving the gearbox warmed up and the shifter started to feel like the real thing, and the motor reminded me of why I fell in love with it in the first place, but don't ask about the ride - I was on the N1's with 600F/900R.
All of you ****heads that write about how little you should have to spend for a used ITR, or how any dealer that wanted to make a little money on the car were rip off artist are fools. This car is worthy of reverence - Reverence. (Oh - I know it's just a car, but it IS a very special car). To think that this machine is capable of making me feel this way is just a stunning idea - if I were to meet the one engineer most responsible for it I'm afraid I'd start crying and hug him.
There used to be this saying that went: "Your Porsche will get you thru times without women better than women will get you thru times without your Porsche". The ITR is such a car.
Scott, who is considering arranging to frozen upon death and stored with his ITR until medical science advances to the point where I can drive this *$#&ing car for eternity.....apologies for the *$#&ing language, but these are powerful feelings I'm trying to convey.....

Bling bling!
This car is why ramen noodles and kool-aid have been my friend for some time. Must make car payments..... One day it will be mine... then the coil-overs will come!
