Default how much does a LS/B16 cable tranny weigh?

want to buy a 91 GS cable tranny from this guy cuz its pretty cheap but its not within driving distance. anyway we are trying to figure shipping charges, but we dont know what the ****** weighs. so a S1/A1 cable tranny (dry, i hope), inter. shaft, and braket is what we are trying to get the weight on. *crosses his fingers* hoping for 70lbs or under, best shipping i have found so far is Fedex at about 20bucks but its a 70lbs limit....

so how much does a S1/A1 weigh?
and anything cheaper than fedex?

thanks!!!

I had one shipped to me. It was an A-1. I think the gross weight with box was 58 pounds.

Damn. I cannot lift 105 pounds of AWKWARD weight. I have replaced my tranny 3 times.

It's NOT over 100 pounds.

How about you get your seller to get a bathroom scale and put the tranny on it. That would be a good approximate weight for the tranny.

Take the packaging into consideration. Its gonna require a heavy duty box. I shipped a d-series trans a while back, came out to be around 68lbs.

you mean you work with fedex ground, because the last time i shipped it cost me $5.25 for an overnight letter($1.00 more if it was going to a residential address). i shipped a tranny about a month ago, via fedex and the total weight was 94LBS! d series tranny might weight 70 LBS, i just had one in my garage last weekend!

that's fedex ground, if you where to ship it 1/2/3 day air, fedex express will take any package up to 150LBS! i would advise you to use UPS, if you want to be economical about it!
