My girl ran over a tall manhole cover and tore open my powertech 4-1 header. So I'm in the market for a new one. The powertech gave horrible road clearance.

How would you best describe the gain from your kamikaze ?
How is the kami for road clearance?

Thanks.

I'm more than likely going to purchase a kamikaze header to replace my broken Powertech 4-1. The biggest thing that is attracting me to it is the clearance. It looks like I won't have a problem with the Kami as much as I did with the Powertech.

What does your butt dyno think about the kami in terms of gains ?

(my engine setup is an F22B1 5-spd with custom cold air, powertech 4-1, test pipe and greddy evolution).

they've got a 2.5" collector and are great for n/a or nitro motors. provide for good mid-high end. i had one for my h23, but sold it all before i had a chance to try it.

one thing i've heard bad about them is that they have weak welds, i just had my friend at our shop to weld beads around weak spots. that could be a good precautinary measure.

but very worth the money, you can usually find GREAT deals. not to mention you can get ceramic black ones, haha :D

I saw a dyno graph on a kamikaze vs. a dc header on a gsr. The Kamikaze made more power down low and on the top end. The DC made less down low, more in the mid range and less up top.

I was just curious about the gains on my F22b1.
