Default Valve Adjustment Tool

Does anyone know where I can get a valve adjustment tool other than the EXTREMELY expensive Snap On one? It costs like 60 something bucks to get it shipped to me so can someone suggests another place to get this tool?

Someone posted a link to a site with a picture by picture how to adjust them... and instead of buying the tool, they just got a box end wrench (10mm? i forget now) and bent it (my guess is by blow-tourch and hammer). into a
... __ type shape

ok ignore the dots i had to use them because spaces get deleted

im surprised no one other than snap on makes it. wouldnt it be hard to use the modified wrench since you cant get any leverage on it? it seems it would be impossible to break any nut loose with that

what they showed was the old trick of linking another wrench onto the end of the open end and using it like that to get more leverage. It worked (apparently). I don't think the nuts get tighted that tight do they? I don't recall as I haven't done mine yet, but will be soon.

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but does anyone have the part # for that snap on tool? I tried to do a search on the Snap On website, but I don't really know how to search for it or what to type in. Help would be appreciated!

I'm sure it would, but this will be my first time doing this and I would like to have the least amount of hassle. Thanks though.

Is it called a "10mm locknut wrench"? Anyone have the part # from Snap On?

if you buy one of the special tools, DO NOT use it to loosen the bolt. use a regular socket for that. i cracked the tool and pieces almost dropped into the head.
