Wastegate vac/boost line location >>advantages
Where do you think is the best source to tap in the wastegate's vac/boost line, Intake manifold or somewhere else in the charge pipe before the Throttle Body. I think the vac/boost source location (before/after throttle body) will cause the wastegate to behave differently since there will always be a difference in pressure except at WOT. And this in turn will affect the behaviour of the turbo. (ie. spool time or boost level at part throttle.)
Anyone with this expirence?

I always grab it off of the intake manifold just because at that point the intake has the pressure instead of just a intercooler pipe. On a side note if you get the boost PSi off of the intercooler pipe efore the intercooler you may get a false reading causing the wastegate to open early. I say this because the air going into the itercooler is hot, hot air expands, and on the outlet you will have cold air witch is contracted making less pressure. EX. you may have 9lbs of preintercooled boost and 7.5 lbs of intercooled boost so if you have a 9lb gate you hook it b4 the intercooler you may only get 7.5 lbs after BUT if you hook it to the intake you will get 9lbs at the intake and b4 the intercooler you may run12lbs or whatever but whocares!!! it wont make a difference.
