Default 2 things in search of powa

1. Just got the car tuned a few days ago, it is interesting to note that bonnet up liberates another 8kw to bonnet down. Obviously road dynamics will dicate a different flow or air but i'm still thinking hey.. how to get more cold air to the filter. AEM CAI is ok but the piping is way too long. I have rather opted for a short ram with a heat shield. I have ducted piping to it but currently my T/B temps with a power fc as a guage is sitting around 42 - 50+ degrees celcius. I know this can belowered to around 30!!1 Now for the Q... I'm thinking of cutting hole in the bonnet and installing a vent. anyone have a link to a vent??? I figure I can either create a low pressure on top of the bonnet so air is being drawn out or I cna force air ontop of the air filter!!!!

2. I'm currently running a A/F ratio of 13.0 across the board with my setup as posted below... Can I afford to go leaner at all??????

Thank-you!!!

1. You could make such a vent. Indeed, somebody on this board did something similar not too long ago with his carbonfibre bonnet. I can't remember the screenname. My opinion: I wouldn't bother. Intake modifications in general don't really seem to do much.

2. What are you using for engine management, and are you tuning the car on a dynamometer? Why do you want to go leaner?

you should start by removing all sources of heat from the intake manifold and throttlebody(ie.. coolant)
