Default EL tranny vs. Si Tranny: help!

okay.. heres my situation. i need to get a new transmission..
my friend has a 1.6EL Tranny w/ 50000km's on it that he can sell me to put into my 93 Civ. Si.. the problem is that i went to a differnt mechanic yesterday and he sed he has put in a 1.6EL tranny into a 94 si coupe before and the owner of the civic said that he felt as if he lost some torque..
is this true?? does anyone know the differences b/w the two trannies? and what differences might i feel?? i honestly dont know **** about trannies and such.. so any insight will help me a great deal..

in addition to this i may get a Bully Stage 1 Clutch... has anyone had experiences w/ these clutches? thanks!!

you dont really lose torqe. i put a 00 ex tranny in my 94 ex. the 00 had the y8 and mine had the z6. The y8's tranny has longer gears and the it seems like there is less power. Find a 94 ex tranny. closer gears.
Shift points for the y 8 shifting at 7500 RPMS
45
85
118
never had enough space to redline 4th or 5th
my original tranny the z6 at 7500 RPM redline
35
63
95
122

The only difference between the 96-00 Ex tranny and the 92-95 Ex/Si is 2nd gear. And is such a little difference that you wont even notice it.....
