Alright, I was sent to a Ref for my cold air intake that i bought from ebay. But I decided to get a aem intake w/ a carb sticker to see the Ref.

When I got there, I failed because of a PCV hose. The Ref told me the hose did not say emissions on it. I have been everywhere, pep boys, autozone, and kragen. They have no idea what I'm talking about. I need a 1/2 pcv hose that says emissions on it. Can you guys help me out. I live in orange county.

well i talked to my bro and he thinks the ref is being a dick and giving you the run around because he still has his stock cx hose and it doesn't mention anything about emissions on it

ur breather hose is missing. that is a big no no to them, and they will fail u for visual.

as for the other hose, call aem and get paper work. its hoops that they are making u jump through.

i know the breather hose is not hooked up, we took out the breather hose for the sake of taking pictures, my bro's car would fail for just being plain ugly ...90% of the peeps on honda-tech would probably fail the visual inspection anyways

 

you might try going to honda and buying on from them and bringing the recite with you to the ref. as proof its from honda. Just my thoughts.

the pix are of my bro's car - me and him both drive red hatches

his is cx with a ls/vtec swap
while mine is a vx with a h22a

and the funny thing is that we both bought our cars for $1500 each

that sucks cuz that hose looks oem, mine looks the same and is oem and it doesnt say emmissions on it, well to solve your problem just ask for fuel hose at autozone and it says "fuel/emissions" on it.

how did they feel about your fuel rail and other mods?

 

when you went to the ref, did you just have to pass the visual inspection and that would be it, or do you actually have to run your car for an emission test? im just wondering because the same thing happened to me for my injen intake, even though it was 50 state street legal, because my carb sticker was not legible, i was still cited..

 

well i'm going tomorrow to the ref. I think I'm gonna go to another ref. They put the car on the dyno and my car did pass smog. But because of the pcv hose, they failed me. I'm so pissed, that one little hose!! I'll update. Oh yea, it's my ex-girlfriend's car.

i went there and they only carry a roll of the pcv hose which is 45. plus it won't fit cause i have the aem cai.

 

i went to pep boys today, and they have a package of tubing thats labeled fuel/emissions on it. its like 3 bucks something. go get it and stick the rest up the ref's ***.

what city were you busted in?? and how were you sent to the ref?? i heard you just have to pay a fine thats like 375 o something.. or did you just go because you did not want to pay the fine??
