Has anyone had problems with autometer electeric oil pressure gagues? Mine worked for about a whole 3mins yesturday when I got done hooking it up and I can't find what could be wrong with it. Any ideas the wires are all good. thanks

 

is the sender mounted to a grounded surface? sometimes if the sender is not grounded (ie. mounted to firewall) correctly than it wont work.

 

the sender is mounted right off the back of the factory oil sending port with a T fitting. The sender has no ground on it. I played with it last night and I thing the sender my be stuck so I'm going to call autometer to see if I can't get another one. but if anyone has any ideas give them to me

 

I had the same problem It ended up being the ground.
Just run a piece of wire from the sender case to a good ground and see if that helps. Good luck

 

so should i just like solder it on there? I will try that because my sender only has one post on it.

 

I used a hose clamp and clamped a ground to the sender.
