Will a 99-00 Civic Coupe Rear Bumper fit on a 98 Civic Coupe?
I was looking to replace my rear bumper on my 98 civic ex coupe, and was wondering if the 99-00 Rear bumper would fit. Reason why I was wondering was because I would like to also have the Rear bumper bottom lip. I have only seen them on 99-00 back bumpers.
Yes it fits, but they do make a rear lip for '96-98 Civics - and IMHO, it looks better then the '99-00 rear lip.

Saturday early morning, I hit a 100 pound deer. So now im going to get my whole car repainted an a 99-00 front end, along with a 99-00 Rear bumper, and the bottom spoiler kit as well. After I hit the deer, I ripped my from emblum off and stuck it on the deers forehead

Dude that ******* sucks about the deer. I hate animals... A possum took out my real deal Spoon chin spoiler so i know how it is. Im sure itll look nice when you get done.

the bottom of the 99-00 has a little "lip" thing that juts out a bit. The 96-98 doesn't have that.
And for the record, all 96-00 coupe and sedan rear bumpers are interchangeable ... if anyone cared.

Not according to their site.
It says the '99-00 rear lip is discontinued by Honda and therefore unavailable, but they're apparently selling the '96-98 lips . . .
I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying that their site says otherwise.
Someone should e-mail them and ask them what the deal is.

The 96-98 is discontinued. The site that you linked from is like 15 minutes from me: Carmichael Honda. They're selling what stock they have left or what stock they can find from other dealerships, but Honda isn't producing any more of those lips.
So once all the stock is gone, you have to find one used.

I rocked a chowdog going 85 on the turnpike in pa I picked it up and threw it down the cliff..central pa.
They sell knock-off 99-00 rear lips on eBay, Group Buy Center, etc. in abs plastic for all 96-00 Civic coupe/sedan. So that pic above could either be a 96-98 with a knock-off 99-00 rear lip or a genuine 99-00 with the Honda rear lip. I've seen the knock-off in person on a 99-00, and it wasn't too bad. The fit could've been a little better, but it only cost the guy like $45.

Ah, I see. Thanks to you and 137 for clearing that up for me; I misunderstood.
