i have a 98 civic ex coupe manual and sometimes in 3rd it crunches.......i had the car so far for 3 days and just learned manual. at first i jammed into 3rd from 2nd and it grinded all the time. then i just shift from 2nd to neutral and then to third slowly and 95% of the time it wont grind. sometimes it does though, does that mean something is wrong or is it just the way i shift which messes it up???? need help, have coverage on warranty so i can always go in.

 

had the same prob when i bought my ej from the dealer used...ended up re-building tranny and replacing the 3rd gear. lucky for warranty cuz that shiet came out to be a $850 bill....haha fk a dealer
