fawk..where do i begin.
i was installing up my oil-pressure gauge today. the sender came off, and i was screwing the T fitting into the block. to make a long-story short, the T fitting is sitting in the block a little cross threaaded, and the threads on the sender are not looking so hot.
it's not leaking any oil, but i keep checking the levels and under the car to make sure.
question is: is there any way to fix the threads in the block (only crossed half-way in) retaping the block? should i buy a whole new T fitting and adapter and start all-over?
for me today. this thing did not go right at all.
suggestions please.
edit: searched through some other threads..... looks helicoil is reccomeded. still looking for tips on how to fix the problem tho.

The fact that the sensor is cross threaded in is not that bad if it does not leak and the sensor is in tight. if it were mine I would leave it alone and just maybe check it at oil changes etc. to make sure its ok still. You may cause yourself a heap of trouble by trying to re-tap or put in a heli coil. space is limited so the heli coil idea would be extremley difficult. Re tapping the hole would make it bigger so then you would have fitment problems with sensor. I'm sure most would agree, save yourself some trouble, look at it a a learning experience and leave it alone
