removing AC controls from EK --- please help

Default removing AC controls from EK --- please help

I can't disconnect the cable from the back. its the cable that connects to the sliding thing from cold to hot. 96 civic EX

That sucks. Why dont you just leave it? Its more trouble than its worth.

Oh. Well then your best bet is to carefully, pull the center dash out and remove it that way. I dont know of a way to remove it without taking it all apart.

i've got the center dash coming out. everything is in pieces. i just can't get the dang cable to come out the back of the ac control unit so it will be free. once that is disconnected it will come right out. i just don't know how the cable disconnects.

if you reach your fingers and feel the harness, you should be able to find a tab that keeps the harness clipped in. or follow the wiring harness to the bottom and detach it there so you can pull it all out.

disconnect it from the heater box, its easier.
