Would this work???? or would I be better off keeping the ls crank with the longer stroke, and buying rods/pistons for it??... doing a ls/vtec setup, and Figured GSR internals would be a good start.... crank/pistons/rods/gurdle..... anybody??
use the ls block.....more stroke= more power.
just have the bottom end balanced, blue printed and
honed out by a reputable machine shop.

My plans:
B18B block
Balanced crank
shot peened ls rods, p30 pistons
Spoon head gasket
ARP head studs & rod bolts
Gsr lsd tranny
ACT extreme 6 puck clutch
lightweight flywheel
oh yeah, not to many reputable shops in the upstate NY area.... at least not that i know of
But thats my plans for the bottem end, head is going to be a b16 head with either CTR or skunk2 valvetrain.

oh by the way, how much does it actually cost, to get a bottem end balanced, blue printed, and honed???? I don't know the going rates
usually about 8 bucks per cylinder for bore and/or hone
about 50-75 for balancing(all they do is make sure all piston/rod combos weigh the same)

thanks, thought it would be more than that....
I just wanna build the bottem end right, so i don't blow it up..... Once i get everything, im gunna get it tuned, hopefully it will hold up, I'm going to take it to the track on the weekends, but its a daily driver

suggestion: Don't take the engine to a "import performance shop" unless they hook you up. Any other machine shop that knows what they're doing will do just as good of job, if not better, for usually a cheaper price
