Default Y8 auto head with manual intake manifold?

I just got my Y8 mini-me parts out of storage today, and upon close inspection I think that I have an auto head with a manual intake manifold. It it even possible for these to work together? I don't think so but give me some second opinions. The Auto head has a check-ball in the back on the intake side but the manifold has no spot to accomodate for it. Here are some pics for you guys to see to help me figure out my dilemna. Thanks.

If this won't work the way I want it to I might be in the market to buy a Y8 MANUAL head complete with everything. I am tired of the mix and match crap. Thanks.

Actually theres no differance between a head from an automatic and 5 speed. And that head is from a d16z6, 92-95 Civic Si. Not a d16y8 96-00 ex. They will work together fine, without any problems. The z6 flows better top end anyways.

D16Z6's have a tapered plug in the back of the head where that "ball" is....

The Z6 combustion chamber, where the vavles come down are round. The y8 combustion chamber is round but has flat sides, like:

Similar to that, which gives it better bottom end torque but less top end.

refer to the second pic, the combustion chambers are flat on the outsides, kind of dirty, but you can definately tell on one of them.

I have seen Y8's with the "ball also. I am pretty sure mine is a Y8. Let me know if these 2 parts can work together or do I need to find another solution?

I know what your saying, but im talking more about the opening. I'm 100% sure thats a d16z6. Regardles it will work no matter if its a z6 or y8. The z6 is better in most peoples opnions. Anywheres.. I found this to show you the differance:

So can I use the head with the check ball on the back with a manifold that is not set up to accept it? I know that the auto manifolds have a hole there with a fitting that comes out on the top of it that accepts a vaccum hose, if I block that off wouldn't that be bad?

Look at this on ebay, it looks just like mine and it is an auto Y8.
